Automation Engineer II

KTM Research is currently accepting applications for an Automation Engineer II position.  This position is responsible for overseeing mechanical design, validation, and production of complex automated systems consisting of mechanical, computer, and electrical components. The Automation Engineer II is responsible for working with minimal oversight to ensure the safe, on time completion of projects. Applicants will be responsible for working with interdisciplinary teams and maintaining quality, time, and budget standards.

In addition to working with internal teams, applicants will be expected to interface with client and supplier teams to develop solutions that fit their needs. Strong written and oral language skills are important for this position as it involves working with both internal and external teams.

Apprentice – Sheet Metal Design & Manufacturing

KTM Research is currently accepting applications for an apprentice position.  Applicants  should be at least 18 years, graduated from high school, and interested in a career in deign and manufacturing.  This is an opportunity to gain practical hands on experience with design, prototyping, and manufacturing of sheet metal components and products.  The requirements for this position are:

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Knowledge of computers and basic math
  • Experienced working with tools/equipment
  • Interest in business/entrepreneurship
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Local to the northern Willamette Valley area

Summer Internship – 2019

KTM Research is currently accepting applications for our 2019 summer internship program.  We are accepting application from high school, college, and graduate students who are interested in gaining real hands-on experience in a fast-paced industry environment.

Potential candidates must be at least 18 years old (for any non-software/programming position) and have reliable transportation to Tualatin.  An ideal candidate will a motivated self-starter able to work independently in a loosely structured environment while learning new concepts and software packages quickly.  This is an opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real-world problems with the tools and resources used in industry.
